Who looks after the crown of the Queen of Rock Chick Chic?
We were thrilled to read a recent interview by journalist Anni Hall on the fabulous Vogue website with Melanie Greensmith, creator of the iconic ‘Wheels & Doll Baby’ label. We have always been great admirers of the label – now over 20 years strong! – and all of us at Brad Ngata adore Melanie and her boyfriend Mark (from ‘The Divinyls’) who we have the pleasure of seeing whenever they visit their W&DB Surry Hills headquarters from their home in Perth. In the Vogue interview Melanie shares her favourite and most effective beauty tips and products, and we thank her for the heads-up:
Hair apparent. “If I am going out I always have my hairdresser do my hair the day before so that I am able to sleep on it as I like it a little undone. I entrust my locks to Brad Ngata at Brad Ngata Hair Direction as he always just gets it. Brad generally uses L’Oreal Professional Volume Lift to give root lift and texture, as well as Beach Fizz for that Bardot bedhead look. Brad thinks my hair is kind of rock’n’roll-y with a french twist, whilst I say I am pretty lazy and don’t really do much with it. [Although] I do use lots of treatments from Kerastase as clearly I have a little help in the colour department.”
