Who is Brad Ngata?
Brad Ngata has been established in the Australian hairdressing industry for over two decades and is held in high esteem by his salon clientele, industry professionals and the media alike.
Ngata is firmly in tune with the latest hair directions and techniques and his adaptability ensures that he is constantly in demand for regular photographic styling work with leading advertisers and edgy Australian glossy magazines including Vogue, Oyster and Summer/Winter to name a few. Over the years Ngata has nurtured relationships with leading Australian designers and has directed a number of Australian Fashion Week showings and worked with iconic fashion brands like Ksubi, Fleur Wood, Azzollini, Akira Isogawa, Sass & Bide, Yeojin Bae, Zambesi, Bassike and Wheels & Doll Baby.
Ngata's proudest accolades include having won the hairdressing industry's most coveted title, Hair Expo 'Australian Hairdresser of the Year' for two consecutive years (2005 and 2006); the consumer media awards of 'Sydney's Best Hairdresser' for two consecutive years (through the Sydney Morning Herald's 'Sydney Magazine Readers' Survey), and 'Australian Hairstylist of the Year' at the 2004 Cleo Maybelline Australian Fashion Awards. In 2005 he was included in the Sunday Telegraph magazine's 'Hot 100 List' of Australia's most influential style-setters and trends.
